IMO the best in a small space is as little different finishes as possible so I would do the floor the same as the counter and I honestly do not see beige and brown as an option. Marble bathrooms are as classic as you can get and allow you to have color of your choice anytime without changing major items.

Patricia, that is very true. But here's a question: the countertop is a Carrera marble look, but I can't find a floor that is exactly like that -- the floors I've seen are either darker, a different shade of white, or has more pronounced veining. Wouldn't it look bad if the countertop is one marble look and the floor is marble look too but just different? Appreciate you!

Try looking at porcelain tiles that mimic slate.

A general rule is to have the countertop match the color of the floor; i.e., both light or both dark. Porcelain tiles and engineered quartz countertops never quite match with each other., especially if you are looking for a pattern with movement. What about a mosaic? Consider Ann Sacks Kodra mosaics -- this has a classic look.

Do you like patterned tile? I think a pattern with the shade of blue you are thinking of for the walls will take away the “totally white” look and add some interest to the room. This is the tile in my mud room and laundry. It’s porcelain, inexpensive and has held up beautifully. Something similar would work for you. Maybe a different colored pattern will catch your eye.

Thank you, RedRyder. That is certainly an interesting thought. What I was thinking to take away the totally white look was a colorful shower curtain. I am not a huge fan of patterned tile because I think that no matter what I choose I'll want to change it in a few years and tile is hard to change. I do, though, think patterned tile is perfect for a laundry room and I love yours. Thank you for responding!

After a while you just don't notice a pattern tile anymore. You just get used to it. I had a patterned tile in a small bath, kitchen and foyer and after a while, I just didn't notice the floor at all. You do just walk on it after all.

Have you gone to a large tile store (or 2) and looked at all the options? Take your quartz sample and a door from the vanity (or sample board with your exact paint color on it) and see what all the options are and what jumps out at you. Not a big box store, a legit tile store with people who can actually help you.

wow, crcollins! After reading all the great advice here, that is exactly what I did yesterday! I drove the 74 (ugh) miles to my nearest legit tile store and talked to a designer. And they really helped me! I ended up purchasing a white tile with subtle gray streaks that look like it really goes with the quartz and vanity. NOW I have to decide on a shower curtain --
