plum tomato choices

The place I'm buying my tomato plants from this year is offering 7 different varieties of plum tomatoes, 3 hybrids and 4 heirlooms. I've grown a few of these before, but don't have good notes about how they performed. If anyone has any strong opinions or advice, I'm all ears. I guess taste is paramount, but yield and ease of growing are a concern as well. I'm in Maryland 7b, I have room for 6 or 8 plums, and I mainly use plum tomatoes for fresh salsa and Italian sauce (that I usually freeze rather than can).
