A corner cabinet left of the window might help with the balance issue. No curtains here. Go for shades instead. Try turning your table the other direction. How about a round table?

The table size seems fine with regular chairs without the office chair. I would use a roman shade for the window, and move your artwork to the wall on the left side of the window for balance.
