Did it happen using a smartphone?

Luis I was talking about the rhododendron in the stock photo, not the website error I got. If this were "just any website" it would be logical to assume no one noticed or cared what variety of flowering shrub was in the background picture. Just some website designer chose it because it looked international and flowery. ;-) It's funny that on this one, they used a pic with a rhodie and not a camellia.

If you can replicate the error, give them the webpage's URL so they can address it.

I just googled International Camellia Society and got a different homepage and no rhododendrons. Same for both phone and iPad. They seem to have done a lot of work on their websites recently . The picture you show is still up on this page https://internationalcamellia.org/the-web-register-and-the-database-of-ics-merged But if you click the link there to the new web register the Rhododendron has gone.

TBH I didn't mean this to require the 'deep thought' of worrying about correction but find myself deeply indebted to Floral for finding the actual page with the problem, or one of them. Indeed I had been on some search involving the naming of plants, stumbled upon whatever BROKEN url turned up in that web search, and just took a quick screencap thinking something like "my gosh, ICS folks, you gotta do better". I didn't even occur to me grab the URL.

Clearly the IDS wouldn't have made such an amateur mistake and all Kingdom Plantae images on their webpages are actually of a dendrological nature. ;-)

Not that Rhodies and Camellias are rivals, per se, but it's kind of distantly reminiscent to me of the time when Unisys, an IT company heavily pushing Windoze based solutions back then...created a website something like betteronwindows DOT com (no way to stop the stupid houzz auto-URLization) to try to convince businesses to switch their websites from linux to windows. Whoever set up the site had it running on linux!!!!!

I was able to find the same page by looking around a bit on their web site also. Without an error message being present as I recall. Who knows why it has a partial view of a property and and a rhododendron.
