You could put in a half wall left of the door. Can your dining table be turned around? If not, maybe a round table would fit better.

Thanks Amanda... the plan originally called for a half wall there. But decided to take it out during finish because it looked to tight. I agree with the round table. ;). It would kill me to get rid of this table... it was such a deal! Lol

The floor plan is not readable - too small.

No help with the foyer question-floor plan is too small, but I love your table! Would you mind sharing your source?

If the porch depth is 6', it looks like you have about 3.5' to the corner and another 2.5' to the porch steps. Verify how close your house footprint is to the lot setback, because if the house corner is right on it, you cannot extend the foyer more than the 3.5'. Also verify whether the porch has to be behind the setback or can protrude, as you have to have a minimum 36" landing out the door before you reach the steps.

Honestly I don't know what a small bumpout will change with the space, the foyer would need to be pretty deep to make an impact here. Might be better off putting a wall back in as conceived.

You could try taking your extension leaves out of this table first, and live with it for while and then see if that changes how you feel about the foyer. It looks as if this table is just too long for the space. There is also the problem of the location of your front door steps to complicate things even further as far as adding a foyer. May be less expense to change the table.
