Some new cuttings arrived today

Before I read all the less than complimentary reviews of hoyaplants.com, I purchased these three cuttings. They arrived today. Only 4 days in the USPS. I think they look alright other than being a bit dry. They are unrooted. Tomorrow I will soak them in a tub of water with Superthrive to rehydrate.

Hoya Aldrichii IML 1418, Hoya Mindorensis Yellow, Hoya Parasitica Pink

I can never decide whether to root them the way they are or cut them into smaller cuttings and plant them together to make a smaller but fuller plant. It's probably better that way. But it can be so hard to make that cut!

Mike, I thought they were pretty good sized cuttings for the price. Some of the stem did seem dried out on the parasitica. But time will tell. I did decide to chop them into multiple smaller cuttings for a few reasons. One, increased rooting chances. Two, if they all root, I will pot the multiple cuttings into small pots and make more of what will appear to be a plant than just one cutting. Optimism!

Popmama, these look pretty good! I haven't heard of this site, will def check it out. Are you rooting in moss? LECA? Something else? Sending you good juju on the rootings, please keep us posted!

I'm rooting them in damp perlite in one of my air-tight clear containers. I'm going to try to resist the urge to constantly check for roots!

Popmama. geez, imagine if you did start a few cuttings out of the original cuttings? You could triple your monies worth, ha. But like you, I think I would like to ad more cuttings in the same pot to make a happy full plant. Good thinking)

Meyermike, I often have hope that I can sell cuttings of these. But I want them to grow into something before I cut them up rather than sell a piece of a piece. But I hope to be able to trade/share them one day.
