Scrap busting fabric and craft supplies

So I had some machine embroidered birdies in my stash from an online purchase. Such a shame to be sitting in the dark, between other fabrics. Finished a major project, wanted a break with something different. Grabbed those birdies, cut up an old denim dress ... making spring garland/bunting bits to hang up.




In progress. Using beads from an old necklace, leftover crochet cotton, embroidered around the bird circles to finish the edges. I don't do perfect anything, just fun to keep my fingers busy. Want to hang around the top edge of the china cabinet. Eventually I'd love to have seasonal bunting to swap things around.

    Lemonbasil, your little birds are very sweet. Do you string them together to make the garland? As for the stash busting - the Propellor quilt I just finished was made totally from my stash, mostly scraps. I’m now working on a quilt that uses the leftover toile from a quilt I finished in December. Because the blocks were cut on the bias, I had a ton of scrap pieces.
