What a cool space! I like your rug, but I think a larger one that the front legs of the seating arrangement can sit on would be a better fit and would make the room feel more finished.

If there is enough room you could try moving the chairs across from the sofa so that the workspace and sitting area are more defined. Definitely a larger rug.

More live plants but of course that’s always my answer....

It's kind of cold looking. The loveseat and chairs do not look comfortable for lounging in a "she" cave. Much larger rug and a sofa rather than loveseat for stretching out. Lights down on tables rather than wall and ceiling

@yumelizabeth & Sister Sunnie, did this... Changed the arrangement and added some potted plants. Not really convinced. BTW: shopping for larger outdoor area rugs. Help!

I think it looks a little better. Maybe try putting the chairs at an angle so they aren’t lined up. If the bookshelves aren’t necessary you could try a large piece of art on that wall to bring in more color.

Hello @yumelizabeth, is this better? Those chairs are tricky because they block the exit to the patio. BTW, need the bookshelves, many, many books, no library to speak of in the house.
