Best Gray Paint

Pardon my dust 😂 but I just moved into a house where the upstairs was converted into an attic. The idea is to have this big main room in a light gray color and the playroom and bathroom right off of this room will be more of a slate blue/gray and white. All along I have envisioned using Agreeable Gray in this room, but now I'm second guessing it thinking it may lean too far to the beige side. Are there any light gray colors you absolutely love? Or should I stick with AG?

What color is the carpet. It look mauve?

It is a tan color. Will that look okay with the carpet? We will be replacing the carper sooner than later, but still want it to look nice in the meantime! Thanks!

If you are replacing, why not wait? Grays can be hard. So many choices, so many undertones and they can look different in each of our homes depending on orientation.

For me, gray and beige aren’t the best combo.

You can certainly get by with what you have, the paint when you what floor you are going with.

Replacing the carpet is probably last one my husband's list of to-do's. 😂 I'd like to enjoy it in the meantime. I don't mind repainting if necessary down the road.
