I’m pretty sure Yellow Bells, Tecoma stans var. stans.

OK. It’s showed up now. What is the scale ie size of leaves and flowers? Height of plant?

I was just about to type Tecoma stans, after having a think about it. I‘ve never seen one and got mislead into Fabaceae before it clicked. I’m suffering a transatlantic time lag and Jinx’s reply wasn’t there when I asked about scale.

i would be wary of anything topping out over a presumably 6 foot wooden fence.. that free seeded itself in your yard ...

especially now that its flowering.. aka.. getting ready to seed more ..

do your research and find out if you want a hundred more in your yard ..

Ken, they’re good plants and aren’t invasive here (or Arizona). They’re great native pollinators.

Right now the plant is about 6 feet tall. It was in the yard last summer but did not flower. I will wait until the flowers are more open and post again. I did look at some photos of the stans var. And it does look like it could be that. Thanks to all!

I thought Tecoma was south of Seattle.
