I think you need to go the solid white route for countertops. Or minimal veining.
I love the selections you made so far. The navy is beautiful. And I love a farmhouse vibe. Really nice.

For me, the issue is the stone. That's the backsplash, correct? IMO it's too much with one of those countertops. It will either clash or the patterns will all merge together, in which case, what's the point?

If the stone is not the backsplash, but will be on the other side of the room, that's a different story.

Do either of the slabs have some navy in them? The labels suggest they do, but I can't tell.

The stacked stone is fireplace, right?

I'm not sure about those granites. They don't feel right...

Yep, the stone is for the fireplace. The backsplash hasn’t been picked out yet. I’ve visited many granite suppliers and these are my two faves. I really wanted something with a lot of movement for the island (blue cabinets). I’d consider something a little less crazy for the perimeter (white cabinets).

Yep, both options have dark blue. The Nevaska has more blue and an overall darker tone.

If you pick one of those, you'll need to be really careful with layout (how they cut out the counter pieces from the slabs); it seems like one side of each slab is notably different from the other (top/bottom on the Azur Nuevo and diagonally right/left on the Nevaska) ... you might need extra slabs if you have to do too much fussy cutting to get the look you want. With either of those stones, I'd definitely go simple on the backsplash, as they've got a fair amount going on and you've already got the two colors of cabinet.

I'd want to see sample doors and a sample of the stone in the same light as the granites before making any decisions. How close is the fireplace to the counters? Are you planning two different door styles or just two different colors? Which style? Is this island vs perimeter or uppers vs lowers? Also, are those your selected knobs or just part of the stock photo for cabinet color?

Here is a rough draft before the selections were made. The cabinets will all be the same shaker style with either gold or brass hardware. Island will be blue with perimeter an off white.

I think if you pick one of those for the island, I would definitely go solid and more simple for backsplash and white cabinets. Those are beautiful!!

I like the blueier second one better. You don't need too many things going on so it might be best to stick it on all the counters, not just the island. Looks like it would play well with both cabinet colors.

I like the one below, but the 1st pic just looks so busy. the floors, the granite, the diff colors everywhere. at least w/the 2nd pic they kept everything muted.

I don't like it w/these floors. this would have looked better w/a solid color tile in a soft gray. the granite/cabs are very cool toned. the flooring is very warm, red toned. they clash.

I think there are better blue stone options.

Ocean Blue (or Blue Ocean) is supposed to be a quartzite. it's very pretty and a lot less "in your face".

to answer your question, I think you should keep looking. those two slabs are meh. I think they're too busy for everything else you have going on. You need to find a granite that isn't overall cool toned because it's going to clash w/your wood floors. At least the blue roma has those brown tones in it.

I much prefer the Nevaska for your context. IMO, though it has a fair amount going on, it "reads" not too busy to me. Your #1 option "reads" overwhelmingly busy.

I would keep looking, but keep Nevaska on your list. I think I would look for a piece that's brighter and not so grey.
