What about a refinishing?

It's very satisfying breaking up a tub with a sledge hammer. I've done two now. You'll find people who will take the cast iron off your hands for free.

I had Re bath done with white 4x4 tile surround about 15 years ago. Still looks modern and like new. Not cheap though.

I've also broken up a couple of cast iron tubs. I covered them with old bed sheets to contain the flying shards and went at it with a 4 lb hammer. Twenty minutes later I could take the pieces out a bucketful at a time. Very satisfying work. Taking those heavy things out intact would have caused a lot of cosmetic damage. Just make sure you disconnect the drain first.
