@karen Makinson Check out https://samplize.com/. You can buy peel and stick samples (approx 12"x12") of many paints, mostly Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore. I bought more than I care to admit, but it was totally worth it and much easier (and cheaper) than buying a bunch of samples at the paint store.

One tip: move the samples around the room to check them out in different lighting.

I’m one of those people who still loves shutters, so I’d say Yes to them! Kind of appears that the window looks out to a yard, so privacy, especially at the bottom of the window, is a priority. Beautiful job on the renovation. Since we don’t have an en-suite, I’d gladly take your teeny room.

@benton_88 yes, you guessed right! 30 inches square.

@NancyD yes, this bathroom is in the front of the house so we definitely need privacy but I want to allow light in too. I've never done Newport shutters but I like the look. I think they'd look nice but I'm worried about the mounting.

Our kids had the two bigger bedrooms and shared the large hall bathroom. We took the smaller bedroom (still big enough for the CAking bed) and the adjoining tiny bathroom, much like yours.
It worked out fine!
Your little bathroom just needs a window treatment for privacy: block the view from the lower part with shutters or a window shade. If anyone can see into your bathroom through the upper pane (if you can see a window in any nearby house, they can see into your bathroom if uncovered), an opaque shade or curtains will allow in some light but give you privacy.

@ohmiss2u thanks! We are adding a frameless shower door but it is custom so we are waiting for it to be installed. It definitely needs a shower door!!

Moira, did you try Smith & Noble re: the shutters? I’d go online and see if they offer advice for mounting them or if they’d do the installation. We have a local store that comes out to measure and install. You’re almost done!

@NancyD that's exactly where I was planning to go!!! Their website suggests they do everything so I think that's the best plan. I think I know what I want but I could really use some advice. We have replacement windows inside Colonial molding so I want to make sure they will fit well and look like they belong.

Looks great, though I am personally anti pedestal sinks (give me all the storage space!!!). The hex tiles are so well done!

I would definitely go with inside mount. They look much neater and in a small room take up less space.
