36 inch ranges that actually work

We have a 36 inch Bertazzoni range. It is a total fail. The logic board is haywire. We had it repaired about 5 times after which they gave us a new one. Now the same thing is happening with the new one. When we turn on the burners, the oven stops working. Air blows out of the oven uncontrollably and the only way to get it to stop is to go down to the breaker box and turn off the power. This is now part of our nightly routine. It is infuriating. I don't care about fancy features. I just want to turn it on and cook. Dual fuel range reviews say the more you spend the worse they are in terms of reliability. Does anyone love their 36 inch range?

I love my Bluestar 36" RCS. It's a joy to use, easy to clean, and there are no electronics that can fail. It is not dual fuel however. The oven works fantastically, so unless you need an electric oven for a specific purpose, a gas oven is great.

BlueStar. All gas. Forget the dual fuel gimmick.

You'll find a lot of love on Houzz for Bluestar and I'll add my voice to it. I also love my BS 36" RCS open burner range. Breeze to keep clean, huge oven (although the tradeoff is that it takes a bit longer to heat fully, but not as long as I feared), powerful burners even standard 15,000 btu, and no logic boards to blow.

You will also find several horror stories on Houzz about BS failures and poor Customer Service. I'm happy to say I haven't had anything similar to those stories yet.

Bluestar RNB all gas. Their customer service has seemingly improved a bit, hopefully a good sign of the future for BS. Better - not needing customer service.

My limited experience with Bluestar customer service is so far good. We are nearing completion on our new house build, and when we opened the box for the Bluestar 36" RNB, we found the range was missing one of the short metal legs! I'd purchased the range over a year ago, and had it sitting in my shop while house was being constructed. I called the store where I purchased the Bluestar, the salesperson reached out to her Bluestar rep, and, shortly after, I received notification that they were next day air'ing a replacement leg. While it never should have left the factory missing one of the legs (the way it's shipped on the pallet, the legs just hang from the bottom of the range without resting on anything), I feel like they resolved the issue nicely.
