Aargh, that Texas freeze!! Few days before, my
Hyacinths started appearing, then everything went south. Many bulbs, especially those in pots, turned to jelly, some had only foliage emerge with browned tips. I covered nearly all of them for the extended freeze duration. Some tulips were successful, but definitely lost many. Now about all those skeletal camellias . . .

Hopefully the camellias recover in some way, and preferably not just sprouting from the roots after the whole top dies...

I planted two "hardy"camellias last summer. They both survived the cold with some browning etc, but the worst damage was from rabbits! I never suspected camellias would be something rabbits would eat, but now I know...

Savoring what survives, but the camellia deal is really sad. A lot of them looked so good, some even blooming before the sudden destruction. However after 2020, all I can say is “oh well”. . .

That happened to me last year. This year was decidedly odd here, cold didn't come till late (and then came again quite late), but really nothing took obvious damage.
Lots of daffodils didn't bloom, but then they lost their foliage last year, so I understand that. Maybe next year?

Then sequence of flowering was way off...but maybe the late polar vortex (March) did that.

The weather lately makes us all curse.

Well the tulip/ pansy combo looks excellent, so I hope that's what your survivors look like because that's not bad at all.

I was just looking at pictures from a couple years ago, and after our season being late because of all the snow it's now a week or two ahead because of the steady warmth. It's beautiful weather but with a last frost date of mid May it could end up with another replay of last year. Hope I'm not cursing again in a few weeks...
