I am lover of a nice matte black. Just did my bathroom faucet and I really love how sleek and contemporary it looks.

I’m thinking the gold is trendy (time will tell!) while the new finishes are beautiful, I think I’d get tired of it.

I saw a black faucet at a store recently. It was striking. They had a white faucet too. Also striking. Not for your project, but very handsome nonetheless.

Love the Honey/Champagne bronze!!!

I was able to go today and look at faucets in both champagne bronze and matte black. The matte black was stunning on it's own but I really love how the champagne bronze looked with the rest of the materials we have chosen. It's a much more subtle "gold" than I expected. If we went with this, what finish in light fixtures would I look for? Most of the ones I'm finding are the darker antique bronze/oil rubbed bronze or the shinier golds - one of which is much darker and one much lighter (and more gold than I'm looking for). I do see Kischler has a weathered brass but I'm not sure how that compares. Also, I know you can mix metals but not sure which ones would look best together.

yes!! I'm getting ready to add some mixed light fixtures that have both the dark (which is what I have predominately) to some that have hints of the brass/gold. That way if you get tired you don't have a whole light fixture in brass

Mixing the black with gold is great, love your Primo 3 light choice Dawn. And go with the champagne color! You can always change it later to black, especially if picking the Primo light!

Following this thread…I’m choosing to go with a champagne gold kitchen faucet and appliances will have a touch of gold on knobs and handles….question is kitchen cabinets hardware…do I have to use gold hardware there. I have oiled rubbed bronze thru out house….anyone have pics of some ORB mixed with gold

Hi there - I'm the original poster on this. We are still wrapping up the final touches on our kitchen but I have a few pictures here on my phone. We did choose the champagne gold faucet and the Cafe stainless appliances (which have that copper emblem on the handles). I decided to go with slate cabinet hardware. Because we kept our cabinets stained, the gold hardware didn't seem to compliment the cabinet color. I felt the slate had a softer touch than the nickel and I liked how it looked with the appliances. I'm guessing you probably have painted cabinets though so gold may be a better option. I did pick lighting that had a touch of gold on it to tie in to the faucet. We also have oil rubbed bronze all over the rest of our house.
