Garden Buddha and pips
Yesterday was my birthday and Easter too! Marvelous day in the garden with family, friends in a safe way. The Buddha was my birthday present to myself, The hosta alley need a focal point.
The statue is directly visible has one exits the garden door from the garage. I have a chair the I sit and look/water the garden. And the Hosta alley is the way to the backyard and patio, So it is nice to have a midway point of interest. I will spend many hours quietly water my garden and enjoy the beauty of hosta.
On the patio, I have move a weigela, dug the hole with blue clay, dropped the liners and back-filled amended soil (Thanks for the heads up on mushroom compost). Sweetie is supplying the pumping expertise and opinions. We are looking for the right surrounding rock to complete the look.
Then PLANT TIME!! I will be posting pictures when I get plants in!

5 years agoI have had a Buddha in my garden as well. It’s the highlight of my backyard garden corner. What’s interesting is maybe 20 years ago, someone removed my Buddha in the middle of the night from the yard. I could never figure out how or why. It was not visible from the street or alley and of course it weighs a ton being concrete. Never the matter, I purchased a new one, exactly the same and figured it was the thief’s bad karma.
