After a nasty cold spell with nighttime temps down to 21 degrees, we are having a wonderful spell of warm weather. Of course, many plants were hurt by the cold snap. The magnolias all got frosted and so did our apricot trees, which had just started to flower. We have had absolutely no luck getting fruit from any of them. Many of the daylilies have damage to varying degrees. Some look fine and others are quite damaged. They will grow out of it though.

Our nectarine tree started blooming after the freeze. It blooms too early and usually gets damaged. We have never gotten any fruit from it, but this variety has beautiful blooms in the spring.

We planted a bunch of daffodils last fall. Here are a couple of them.

Violas are always a favorite here in the early spring. We bought a bowl of them last fall and some of the plants survived the winter on the front porch.

The flowering quince started blooming before the freeze, but the flowers survived.

I am using a new camera, an iphone 13. It think it takes better pictures than my old iphone 6.
