New lawn dead areas

New lawn (85% bluegrass 15% rye) seeded last fall ‘20. Lawn is waking up but a number of spots in lawn look as if 5 gallon buckets killed the lawn. It’s almost perfect circles. I’m in upstate NY ground just now starting to thaw. Majority of lawn looks okay but was curious about these spots.
