The top pic is probably Royal Queen, the color and leaf shape is typical for that old hybrid.

The lower pic with it's narrower, arrowhead shaped leaf looks like Majesty, which is also called Burgundy. Another more recent made-up name for it is Blackjack.

I haven't owned the so-called Dark Lord, but from pictures it looks to me like a renaming of the old hybrid Ace of Spades, which I collected as King of Spades 42 years ago.

Trying to attach a specific cultivar name may be frustrating, so many look identical, but it's self-heading type.

@Krystal Stone I have a Rojo Congo too and it is one happy plant too (but i live in the tropics), but I dont think the pic i posted is a Rojo Congo. This one is clearly a vining type that quickly needs a support, the leaves are heart shaped too, I think the vining habit is not clear in the angle from which i took the pic. Pretty sure it is a Royal Queen as Russ has suggested.

@Tiffany, purpleinopp Z8b Opp, AL No, it is not a self heading type. I should have added pictures with a side view. Has long internodes and is a vining type.

An observation regarding Royal Queen.... I believe Pink Princess is simply a variegated Royal Queen. I've had many plants of Pink Princess lose their variegation and there seems to be no difference between them and Royal Queen with exception of a very narrow pink edge on winged petioles.

Also, a Strawberry Shake that has lost it's variegation is indistinguishable from Red Princess, they are the same. Makes me wonder why these two are not named Royal Queen variegata and Red Princess variegata. I guess people like separate pretty names for every plant that's different from the original.

Other examples are Monstera Thai Constellation and Cheese Cake, they were known simply as deliciosa variegata until around a decade ago. I think the now defunct nursery Asiatica might have made up the Thai Constellation name and sold as such. Interestingly, I thought the name Borsigiana associated with the dwarf form of M. deliciosa was a new phenomenon, but it actually goes back many, many decades.

@Sharon Gladstone I couldn't to get my photo to attach! My rojo congo is definitely a vine that needs support. But he's also a 5' tall, 4' diameter monster.

What's your leaf size? I could see the top photo being a congo, and the bottom being a royal queen with it's narrower leaves.
