The tips of this one are curling under...so not sure what's going on..probably over watering issue from there..

It looks like a Deja Vue Philodendron. I picked up one at lowes too. They grow fast.

you have two color leaves.. older darker leaves .. and fresh new growth .. look at the one you think is curling.. and see if its a brand new leaf.. that is UNcurling ... if so.. its fat.. and happy and there is nothing for you to fix.. dont love it to death ...

water a plant when it needs water .. dont over water.. let the plant near dry between waterings ... if its in a plastic pot.. you can roughly tell how wet the media is by how much the pot weighs ...

im not sure it need a satin pillow under it.. lol .. its a plant.. not a princess .. dont love it to death .. lol..

its stressed form shipping from grower.. to seller.. to you .. let it settle down.. for the next month .. do nothing but water properly .. and lets see how things develop ... there is no hurry to love it to death ... and its not hungry right now.. i am sure the grower juiced it enough to last at least 6 months without being 'fed' ...

in mid to late summer.. it might be time to think about a bigger pot ... and that is when we will stress it again by repotting it ... getting it ready for winter ...

Yeah, I'm a plant girl and have a LOT of different plants... it I seen these and they were just putting them out and had to grab a couple....I'll look up the Deja Vue Philodendron. As many plants as I have, I don't think I have any philodendron in my collection (I have one plant I bought off esty last year that has leaves KIND of like this, but the plant shoots out huge alien air roots, so I dont think it's the same....I will look up info on the type of lighting. I'm in Indiana, and right now is about that time in a few weeks I move all my plants outside (especially my cactus) but I thought about keeping this inside, or putting it on my covered front porch......I also bought another lowes plant.....by chance would anyone know what it is?? I wish they would name them other than "foliage " I also bought a monstera. Sp. That's labeled, but I'm worried about it because some of the leaves are yellow and it LOOKS over watered and stressed (though they were taking the, out of the box as I got there but still...I just need to look up the basic care for them vs knowing the exact name...I also think I bought a green rubber tree...again, marked "assorted foliage " by the urban jungles....you go to look at their web site and they only have like 12 plants and none are close to the 5 I just brought home.

@ jessica green...I just looked it up, and this is what the first one looks like!! I think you are right on the money with that ID!! THANK YOU!! The funny thing is I've seen pictures online of this one when its bigger and the leaves are shaped differently and they do get huge and I've wanted one for YEARS and never could find one, and it just so happens, this is one of the five I picked up!!!

It's so nice when you find something you've wanted and had on your "plant list" and randomly end up with it without realizing it!!!! Yaaay.

Now, does anybody know what the 2nd one is?? I ordered some indoor lights off amazon..I have a few already, but want to be prepared for winter and make sure everyone is happy

The second one kind of reminds me of the leaves on a peace lily. I could totally be wrong on that one though.

My Deja Vue likes more indirect light. I read somewhere that too much direct light can burn thier leaves. I have mine tucked into a corner and so far she is doing great. I water it about once a week. I'm in Michigan so not much difference in weather. I'm so ready to get my plants on my front porch, but it's going to be cold this week. Our Deja Vues are babies and I can not wait till it gets older. The leaves are fantastic. Oh, I also read that the curling of the tips are normal with this plant. I'll post a pic of mine soon.

The second one is more tree like vs a peace lilly (I bought one of them too hahah) I'll get better pictures soon.

Thank you for the advice!! I wish they would mark them better or at least some name, or species...they dont even have it on the web site it says to look up on the tag even!!

Oh, I cant wait to get my plants out back and on my porch too!! It takes me a few weeks to get then all out because I mainly do cactus and so the covers front porch first then out back in full sun,so they dont get sun burnt. I just started with this 'assorted foliage " and its frustrating when I have no clue and the workers dont, neither do the web site show it ....I also bought a monstera sp and they all look wilted and debating if I should have bought 2 "just in case" but when I went back the next day, a lady had all 3 of them in her cart and bought them. I picked the one with the main stem very thick like thick finger width instead if babies...I hope I picked the right one vs they all looked over watered , yellow leaves and just wilted. The sad part is they had got them the day before I was out there (I stalk lowes since I sont have nurseries in my area lol) ...but I'll get better pictures of the 2nd one and would LOVE to see pictures of your baby too!! I'm still trying to find out where mine will be happy...I ordered some clip on lights from Amazon. I have 4 of them already and got 3 more "just in case'

I constantly stalk Lowes too. I go at least once a week. I'm sure they call me the crazy plant lady because if their plants look rough, I make sure they know. Lol! I should probably just get a job there, but I only want to work in the garden section. 😂😂😂

I've seen Home Depot in my former area displaying completely dead and brown plants in prominent locations. Such as garden department entrances.

Places like these two (Lowe's, Home Depot) warehouse store plant departments rent out shelf space. With growers sending employees of their own to stock and water.

Mine doesn't send people...but there isnt a Home depot near me, but Lowes and my local stores just do "in house" and they over water and kill everything. They had dead and dry as a doornail gardenia plants they wanted 30 dollars for and their "clearance " is like dead dead, brown and crunchy...its sad...and if you ask what the plants are NO ONE has any clue other then what a tag say or if it scans on the phone.

@ jessica green....you should try to get a job there and just tell the, you ONLY want to work in the garden/plant section. The 4 girls that I asked to help me ID these two plants said they only work in the garden/plant are...2 said they only work during spring/summer and that's it, the other 2 work there year round, yet they had no clue and the plants are soooo over watered and bad there unless you get them RIGHT when they get there. My monstera SP (it had a tag lol) is so limp and bad and it was there for 3 days, it's got yellow leaves and I wish I would have bought another "just in case" but I went back the next day and another lady bought them..lol....i soon over an hour picking up begonias and dumping probably 6 to 8 cups of water out of each bag of a tiny 4 inch pot with the wrap around the pot and plastic around that....they had fiddle leaf figs less then 3 weeks and they are ALL dropped leaves, and looks like someone flattened them....

It would be AMAZING if someone whom cared and knew a bit about them could work there, even part time because I know in my area , it's bad.
