rug sizing help

I can’t decide what size rug works for our odd shaped living room. Please let me know what you think. I’ve tried 4x6 rectangular, 5x7 oval, and 5x8 rectangular. Would 6x9 or 8x10 be better? They’d be super long compared to our sectional. Ignore the rug patterns (just using for sizing), the tiny ottoman (we are getting something else eventually) and the plain wall / window! We take baby steps around here when it comes to decorating!

Here is the overall room , don’t mind the mess or extra furniture we are getting rid of!

I think a 6x9 would be good. It does need to be a little wider and you can always tuck a bit more of the length back under the section on the window wall. Really a 6x7 or a 7x7 would be ideal, but I don’t think they make those sizes lol. I do like that 5x7 pattern in the room.

I think you need to go bigger. What you are showing is too small.

I would try 8x 10. Measure that size out with masking tape.
