Because I was thinking Begonia grandis - hardy begonia...

wow! :).. i know dombeya flowers, but was not paying attention to the leaves! now without the flowers the leaves really stood out! it's a very vigorous bush!

The bush is Pagoda Flower, Clerodendrum paniculatum. But there is a cane type Begonia with the pink flowers growing up into it.

What Eric said. They won't flower until months later.

dombeya leaves have similar shape to C. paniculatum. i googles and see that C. paniculatum leaves get very big at maturity and develop 5 points and are more cut out and sort of 3D compared to Dombeya. I am not quite convinced, but it is possible that it is C. paniculatum.

i found another clearer pic of leaves.. and now i think it is C. paniculatum. :)

i also found another pic of very young leaves from January, when it was much smaller.

does that look like younger less palmate leaves of C. paniculatum?
