Kitchen island Information

Can you tell me the distance between the kitchen island and the kitchen sink counter? Is it 36 inches between them and is that the standard?

    There is only 36" between the island and the far cabinets with the sink. Although 42" is preferred, 36" is acceptable. There is more room between the island and the range which is opposite the island sink. In this remodeled kitchen the two sinks make it easy for more than one cook to work so the tight space does not present an issue.
