I just bought a Grampa's Weeder this year and absolutely love it. I just noticed they were sold out, but amazon and Ace carry it as well.

I’ve had good luck with the Weed Hound especially after a rain.

I looked at a few on line but they didn't look sturdy enough to last. These two look like they are made well.

Babka, I do my share of crawling but digging in centipede takes standing then crawling--a lot of up and down. I can get down easily but getting up is difficult.

I also bought Grampa’s Weeder this year, (Steve, great minds think alike) but my mind isn’t made up yet....... it works on small dandies but the huge ones break at the root. I guess if the root is the size of a carrot, big one, not sure anything but Bert’ s machete can help. I think it would work on the ajuga, but after my experience with ajuga you may still need to Dig and pull. Grrrrrrrr! There is another root tool I have, which works pretty well. Let me see if I can find it online.

I just looked on Amazon Smile and they have Grampa’s Weeder. They also have the garden weasel which works pretty well, but it does involve twisting.
