Name That Plant!New England Gardening

Basal rosette of weed or something else?

Could this be something desirable or maybe something much less so (like horsetail)? I'm in southern NH (daffodils started blooming last week), and there are a number of them scattered about in my meadow garden. The larger ones in the photo are about 4.5" across. I'd appreciate any ideas!

Maybe Hypochaeris radicata? Not as bad as horsetail, but close.

Thanks so much for the help! As soon as tomorrow's snow (!) melts, it'll be off with their heads (along with their taproots).
