I can't think of an objective at the moment. It's main function, an opening in the Lush, won't even begin to happen until June.

Those are glass wine jugs turned upside down and buried in the ground. One of my energy vortex transmitter/receivers. I find glass works better than tin foil.

Any additions will have to handle the mowing that starts in June.

How about a portable hammock - one that’s suspended in a portable frame for easy moving for mowing & perfect spot at different times of day? Might be nice to have a spot for a quick lie down if the glass energy vortex is low on power. And Kitty would like a place to snooze while surveying its domain!

you lost me..I Googled energy vortex..watched part of a video..for me..my natural setting has good energy without any transmitters but to each his own 🙂..

@nicholsworth Z6 Indianapolis Yes this is actually my mowed 'lawn' area in the growing season. It is a 40' diameter circular space that gets cut to the front of the Doghobble, Leucothoe, behind the bench - after the trillium which are just coming up have a chance to finish blooming.

I think it looks wonderful! I am moving toward that look-so nice for pollinators and insects.

I think a little patch of Jack in the Pulpit would be nice. But you would have to mow around them.

Thank you very much and don't ask me how. Pure luck. There was a nice patch of Anemone quinquefolia blooming in there this morning. The Fritillaria meleagris is a great idea. I just have to remember to order a sack of bulbs. They do grow next door, if sparsely.

You do realize that one of the things in my lawn is A. christophii. I mow around them in May, then they disappear. So it really was a serious suggestion.

When you said allium I was thinking the wild garlic, Allium vineale, which is prolific in these parts. I'm not fond of the stringy texture of that mixed with other things and it is hard to get rid of. By all rights there should be some in my lawn of all lawns,

I have planted all kinds of ornamental flowering alliums and have had really poor bloom and longevity from them which makes me sad. Leeks are actually my best flowering allium.

I think it looks very nice.
