I am in Chicago and have been raising and releasing swallowtail and monarchs for a couple years now. I have about 30 swallowtail chrysalis that have been overwintering. Unfortunately 5 of them emerged today, pretty early for Chicago. We are due for some cold weather next week and they will probably not survive, Any thoughts as to if a can keep them for a few weeks in my habitat before releasing them? I will probably have to try to find some nectar plants for them to feed on..or what else can i put in there? Fruit? Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thanks
