The monthly forecast for Baltimore doesn't indicate any freezing temps

Only April 21 seems to have any nighttime temps near freezing, and the Accuweather forecast for that night is 37. The rest of the month, all the way til May, is in the 40s and 50s. I know the traditional frost-free date around here is supposed to be around Mother's Day, but could I plant my geraniums, portulaca, petunias, and fuschia in their respective planters now? Meanwhile, I have them sitting out on my wire shelving units out on my balcony loose in their nursery pots so that I could move them into a big Rubbermaid tote with a lid if temps threaten freezing.

ps: im supposed to get 3 to 6 inches of snow on tuesday ... though they say we might not see it.. in that a lot of it will melt due to warm soil.. before it starts accumulating ... and frankly... i bet we dont get any .. lol ... i dont really rely on weather forecaster nor ma nature much anymore ... science schmience ... this is gardening ... its an art .. not a science ... ergo .. wing it.. roll the dice.. its vegas baby .. [brought that full circle.. eh.. impressed???]

Thanks, Ken. Tomorrow is my birthday and I finally scored a Berry Dazzle mini crape myrtle within drivable distance. Gonna go pick it up with my friend tomorrow, then hightail it back to host my outdoor birthday party. I'm ordering Chinese from the best restaurant in these parts and a few of my friends will sit at a picnic table in our courtyard (socially distanced, as per my doctor's orders) and chow down. The weather forecast is supposed to be 65 and sunny. I sure hope that holds true!

LOL. Berry Dazzle is not my "dream plant". I don't think I have a dream plant, unless it would be one of those little houses I want with a real yard to plant up pretty. But when I find that little house, I can take my Berry Dazzle off its wire shelf and make it part of a beautiful little rock garden at the 3 steps from the main sidewalk up to the sidewalk leading to the porch, proudly proclaiming to the new neighbors "Here Lives a Gardener". And no, not 75...that would be, with G-d's help, in a while.

Baltimore is supposed to have nighttime temps of 34 Wednesday night. Should I move my new annuals into the Rubbermaid tote and put the lid on?
