Looks like Farfugium japonicum 'Giganteum', aka leopard plant or 'tractor seat' plant.

I don't see any sign it is about to bloom. If the suggested plant, that wouldn't happen until fall anyway.

I'm not sure that is a flower bud :-) Also possible it is petasites but the leaves are not that glossy or heavy and it generally blooms before it produces leaves.

I saw the presumed flower bud in the first shot. But nobody here can comment additionally on that without a closer view. In the meantime the next step at your end would be to look for other pictures of the suggested plant on the web.

I don't know 'Giganteum' but otherwise I thought the plant looked like Farfugium japonicum also. When I first saw your pictures.

Agree that it’s Farfugium and that that’s not a flower bud.
