My Cameo always did better when in a pot. Never had Pandora's Box.

i had so many PB die on me.. i would NOT recommend it to anyone .. for any reason ...

I haven’t grown Cameo. I have had good luck with Pandora’s Box in pots. I have one in a small ceramic pot and another in a fairy garden for my granddaughter. This is only year three for both and both are emerging nicely now.

I tried Pandora's Box twice and 2 years was all I got out of each of them. No joy.

Same for me--only grow Pandora's Box in a pot. Seems very temperamental.

I'm glad I bought Pandora's Box at deep clearance then! I'll find out soon if it survived in the pot; most of the potted ones are are not showing, or barely pipping now.

Sadly to say I cannot seem to grow Pandora's Box either. 3 times strike out.

I was so excited when I first saw that hosta.

The very worst part is I was at a neighbor's house last year and she had about a 2x3 foot patch of it. OMG I was floored. Told her my story and she later dropped by a small start. I put the pot she gave me in the perfect spot near the house to protect it. We had some rain, but checking on it looked fine. One day it looked awful. The pot had NO drainage hole!

Now, I can't face her. :(

And to think I was going to buy this one!

Nope, no picture ID. Beggars can't be choosy. It was about a 3" pot so I just set it temporarily on top of the dirt in a planter with impatiens so chippies wouldn't see it. Lesson learned. It's always when we try the hardest that it turns out the dumbest.

Wow! Beverly. That's awesome. I am soooo jealous. Now there are 2 growers who have unlocked the PB mystery. Hats off to you.

Neither has emerged yet, so I might not have either of them! For some reason the pots I overwintered in the garage are way behind. That's a first: usually they are a little ahead compared to ones in the ground.

I finally got all 3 plants together to plant them into the multi planter today....

And....

Pandora's Box didn't look good with any others! The leaves are just SO small and delicate. I have nothing to plant with it. So I ended up potting it into a nice pot on it's own. Though it's so very short, that it needs a short pot too.

Looks like I'll need to make a new pot designed for it.
