Looks like physiological leaf burn from something like mineral salts in irrigation water or other chemical exposure, hot dry winds...

Perhaps long-term water shortage. Probe the soil with a towel, Is it dry or moist? If dry, water the area from the trunk to the dripline (imaginary line on the ground directly below the branch tips).

The brown tissue is dry and dead. It won't "heal."
