Likewise mine is quite large. Its 3 feet + tall and 4 1/2 feet wide. It’s on the side of my screened porch. I must have planted it there when I started shade gardening. I obviously didn’t know back then to give such a beauty a more prominent space in my garden. I think most pics I have seen of Elegans show it as large, which is the only size description for it in the HL.

Mine is young, purchased 2 years ago. It is grown in a pot of clay in dry sun, so it is probably stunted. Here is the plant today, at least 3 ft wide and nearly 2 ft tall and still unfurling. In the ground in my garden, I think it could grow twice this size. In fact, my neighbors have a few that stand in for hydrangeas in their yard.

height should be genetic ... subject to hyperfertilization ..

width of a CLUMP is unlimited .. though perhaps subject to fairy ring.. etc ...

both above seem to suggest the new 3 foot tall range...
