For sure--it's a tight space so I keep debating which shape would maximize the available space.

Here is a 36" table and, IMO, you can not go any larger. There must be room for chairs to be pulled back; there must be room for diner to get up and walk behind another diner; you want to be able to use the doors. With 20" chairs, this is what you would have...seating for 4.

You might be able to do something in the corner...what are the measurements?

Question, do you need both doors?

Try a 48” round with 6 smaller chairs (ones that tuck in nicely). For breakfast nook dining, you can squish a little. And if everyone’s sitting, they won’t be accessing the doors, so a seated diner can encroach on the doorway spaces (IMO).

Thanks so much everyone! We do need the two doors because one leads to a covered porch and one leads to the driveway, so it would be awkward to have walk around through the porch just to get to the bikes and grill on the side, etc. It's definitely tight with the walkways! I adore the banquette look but wonder if it makes sense in terms of the ease of getting in and out--thoughts on that?
