Oh My, my poor sensitive deciduous Azalea will not be happy. My irises will probably take a hit as well. I think my hosta should be fine though.

I am sooo glad that I moved my top shelf plants to the balcony floor last night...part of my PVC parapet actually parted from the main structure, a top flew off a Rubbermaid tote (landed on the balcony, fortunately) and the plastic liners for the top wire shelving unit shelves, although I used strong clips to secure them last night, tore off the shelving units and landed on the floor of the balcony. And that's just so far. I hope nothing else happens until it's over Saturday.

Hope you don't have any more issues Esther. At least it all stayed on your balcony instead of having to chase down lids & shelving units!

It is windy but nothing like you are getting. However it is snowing here!!! -3C that's 26F. I am not surprised but I still wish it weren't so!

Wow, Peren.all, I hope you don't lose any leafed out or heavily pipped plants! The high wind episode is thankfully over. Weird, the strands of trailing vinca vine were blown backwards over their windowbox. I replaced the lid on the Rubbermaid tote, the plastic shelf liners (and weighed them down until tomorrow when I can put the hostas back on them), and made sure all the plants were OK. Fortunately, they seemed to be.
