Did it produce any growth last year when left inside the garage? If not, I think it unlikely it will respond to growth now. But not impossible :-) It is still pretty early to see much new growth on warm season grasses like the MIscanthus, depending on location and current temps.

Why do you keep it in a pot in the garage in winter instead of planting it?

it's a huge urn and every year i've brought it out and it was fine. i had a

"dead" car in the garage for about a year and couldn't get at the urn. or didn't try hard enough. :)

gardengal - it's produced new growth every year (4 years) after i've brought it back outside in the Spring.

any update? I have 3 zebra grasses planted and none have show signs of life yet! I'm in coastal 6B - Rhode Island

so far, no signs of life on the urn grasses.
