We just purchased a brick home and would like to paint the exterior. It doesn’t come through in photos as much, but it is clearly a pinkish brick and we have already contracted someone to stain it the color of our choice. I originally wanted to do a nice white brick with black door and bay window roofs, but we are second guessing ourselves because there are no shutters or anything on the second level, so it may look unbalanced. Also, the window trim will remain white because it is a material that will not take paint well, so we were thinking of making the brick a slightly darker color (cream, gray, etc) and having a nice clean white trim and door. Any suggestions and inspiration photos are welcome!
