Thanks, Rosie. I tried a post with more photos but for some reason they didn't all show. Things work a little differently with this camera and I haven't quite figured it all out.

Some friends of mine visited the LL greenhouse last weekend -- they haven't yet sent me photos of what they bought. Lucky stiffs. :)

When I got my first Iphone last fall, I tried out its camera and have been very pleased. I normally reduce the images on my PC to 640x480 for easier and quicker upload, and less bandwidth once uploaded.

Yes, OldDutch, I'm still getting used to this phone app. It works differently from what I was used to using. :p

btw, the clarity and color on the photo above seems much better than what I could get with my old camera. My face was inches from those Marina flowers. lol!

I am still figuring out my phone/camera. If I do not go to 'portrait', I tend to get both jpg and mov type files. I am probably missing something in my Settings. I got a couple extra cables and another charger and a friend gave me a charger he can't use, a USB one that you simply lay the phone on. His case was too thick to allow him to use it.

After being land line for decades before this is a new experience for me - to be able to carry my phone with me at all times and still being able to keep the same "home" phone number I have had since 1979... The quality and highly mobile camera is a real bonus.

I'd buy a thinner case. lol!

What I'm missing on mine is the 'square' photo option! there's a way to get it by changing the aspect ratio settings, but it's not just a one-click or swipe operation like it was before. I ordered this phone because my old phone wouldn't take a charge. As soon as I ordered it, the old phone started charging. lol! I had to upgrade anyway, because my old phone was out-of-date. I still miss the old phone though! The new one is small by today's standards, but it still doesn't fit in any of my clothing pockets or my purse phone pocket. :p

Enjoy your new phone, OldDutch! My ipad died on me this past summer so that's new too. Now that things are growing again here, I'll need to remember to use both cameras more. :)
