Your peonies are always so pretty, Nancy! I love that red color on Red Charm also. Imagine that one full of blooms!!

The flowers are larger than it looks in the pic, Kate. I hope that will be normal. I got that in a trade 5 years ago. Looked like a nice root, but it sure took it's time blooming. I have gotten lots from that person, and they all took a long time to bloom. Several blooms still to open though. I love peonies, but they bloom during the stormy season and when it can be hot, so blooms often don't last long. They have done pretty well this year with cooler weather, if wind would just hold off.

Lovely peonies Nancy. I hope to plant some in the fall. I I do like the more upright ones like Coral Sunset. They tended not to topple over when it rained.Can't remember the classification.

It won't be long before we see your daylilies blooming.

I love your peonies. We are putting in a new bed of mixed flowers and I intend to put in a few peonies.

We have seen no scapes here yet except for early species. It's still a bit early here. We thought we might have an early season since March was warmer than normal but April and May have been on the chilly side. I guess that has slowed things down a bit. The daylilies look great though. We have had a lot of rain so we're hoping for a great season.

Wonderful peonies Nancy! I will have to enjoy yours, no peonies in my gardens. I have been disappointed with them in my gardens. I remember my grandmother having tons of them in her small garden, she always had a bouquet on her dining room table, beware of the ants, LOL!

I have my first scapes today, as usual, on Belle Isle Sentry. It has been upper 50's to low 60's so I'm surprised too.

Your peonies are pretty. Mine always fall over and look stupid. Last year I put wire fencing around them to make them stand up and they were just strange. I give up on them.

I love your peonies! They are so pretty, but I can see how the Spring storms and heat can affect them. We had two at the house where I grew up in Indiana, a pink and a white. The flowers seemed to last much longer in that climate. I had one here years ago, but between the flopping after storms, the heat and the ants, I took it out.

More scapes are coming all the time. As of yesterday, I had 15 seedlings with scapes and eight established registered ones. There are also seven new acquisitions with scapes. one that may start blooming by next week.

Your peonies are lovely. I always love to see them since I have much less success with growing them in hoit Alabama. So glad more scapes are coming up. I have the same five plants blooming but thin Rennie's Delight or another one or two make bloom in the next day or two although it is supposed to be a bit cooler for a couple of days.

Thank you for looking everyone! I tend to like the itoh peonies, the stems on the ones I have seem to be sturdier and not flop so much. I cut tomato cages in pieces and ring the really floppy ones to help them, don't really notice the ring much. I just leave them on permanently. They really make a show, but don't last nearly long enough. I don't plant to get any more, but I do enjoy the ones I have.
