This is a very pretty room with lots of natural light. For me, it just lacks a bit of color. The furniture is fine in my opinion, though you could switch out the two captains chairs for something else or have them reupholstered with something new, and keep the rest.

It looks like it currently leans traditional (based on the chandelier, framed prints) but the wall sculpture is modern. Is there a direction you'd like to move towards? A little bolder look, more modern, stay traditional?

My thoughts-- just some ideas!

-I would go for a new area rug. So many are very pretty and reasonably priced. I love the ones that look aged/faded, yet have a somewhat modern feel.

- Some larger artwork on canvas rather than the framed prints you have now

- I am not sure which direction your dining room gets its light (morning /afternoon) but you might try a more yellow-green, as the one you have looks more gray-green-- unless you want to switch colors all together.

- The metal wall sculpture is not my taste, and I am not sure it's adding a great deal to the room, so you might consider removing it.

You can definitely give this lovely room a makeover very easily!
