Bottom Line, Gentle Giant, or Wu-La-La?

I have a spot where I can fit a good sized Hosta or 2. It is in a spot where I have Solomons Seal and Ferns so pretty shady. The 3 I see on Naylor that look promising aren’t ones I can recall seeing in person. Wu-La-La seems pretty new so I know I haven’t seen it. Does anyone have these and can give me an idea on how finicky any might be?

Looks like you have room for four giants there to me. I went with Gentle Giant but just planted last year. So far no issues with it. Started with a small plant. At the top of the photo.

I went with Wunderbar instead of Wu La La. Just because I found it first. Now I rationalize how I like it better. Better name, less common, better plant and leaf structure. Its a terrific grower. Planted in 2018 from 2 small plants. Now 6 eyes. On the left.

Also went with Winter Snow since I found a good sized one for only a couple Starbucks. Planted in 2020 and moved later in the year. Showing good size in the leaves already, but playing catch up in this bed on the right. (The June in front looks bigger than it is).

I expect all your choices to be similar great growers as these are. Think about adding Liberty (or Ivory Coast if you can find it) to that bed too.

does that river run near you .. you know.. de nile ... lol

if you had just put in the order yesterday.. you wouldnt be able to add these ... lol ..

I would also suggest Liberty. It's a gorgeous hosta and would look good i that area.

Ken, they will always add more when you call and ask--been there and done that, lol.

Same Annette! DH said to order what I want so he can make it my birthday present. So I’m making a separate list for him to order. Yippee!

But I did remove a few from the order. The ones that seemed finicky to the folks here and I couldn’t find good info.

do you know how to plant on a hill.. if i understand the pic properly .. i mean water.. not dig the hole ...

I’ll take any suggestions for planting and watering on a hill. There is an indentation there so I think the previous owners had something there that didn’t make it.
