I was looking for some brighter golds and chartreuses for my beds this year but a few others slipped in there. Last year I went for the biggest I could find. Pictures to follow when it warms up a little. I have had the worst spring allergies and asthma this year and can't handle the cold air without coughing my head off. I am sure the neighbor thinks I have COVID. But I have had the shots. The 2nd which triggered my asthma so bad that I almost had to go to the ER and it has been triggered very easily since then.

Sorry, have a SIL that fell and broke her ankle now out of rehab--they only cover 20 days and then it is on you. She lives 1 hr away and has no children. Can't get about except to the bed, to the w/c, to the sofa. and spent the day there tending to her and her dog. Getting old is not for the faint of heart. Tomorrow may be a better garden day.

They look happy and healthy and ahead of where mine are at. They came dormant and we had a cold spell right after I potted them up. They are just getting going now.

Frankie, sorry about your asthma and vaccine issues, that had to be difficult. Mine aren't planted yet and I am expecting more this week. Got to get going. Yours and Steve's look great. I went looking for bright yellows too, late last year and this spring. The two that I got from Bob Solberg in late August, 2020, Lemon Snap and Lettuce Wrap, emerged bright yellow this spring and they look great from a distance. Of course, Bob specializes in that color.

Sorry about your asthma response frankie. I felt pretty good after the second shot but 3 days later I broke out in hives. But Somme Benadryl and anti-itch cream and it cleared up. My sister though was just like you. Her asthma was so bad she went to be checked.

wish I could say all my hostas were here but they’re not coming til week of 24th. The one I did get is Astral Bliss.

I usually leave the new ones in a pot until fall to give them a good start but these had such impressive roots I may put them out earlier. I edited my oldest hosta garden this week and divided and replanted 5 huge hosta, variegated Solomon's seal, toad lily and a green and white sedge. I will have to be very diligent about watering the moved plants this summer so I think I can go ahead and put the new hosta in those beds. I have too many projects going on at the same time right now.

Nice looking plant, Astral Bliss. However, I am running out of room so I have to be very selective.

Funny thing about the reaction to the vaccine from those who suffer from asthma, our niece who has had major issues with asthma was ill after the first shot, fever, chills, very tired etc. But she works as a social worker at a hospital so she thinks that she had the virus earlier and didn't have many symptoms at the time. Second shot was no big deal. She spent a childhood being rushed to the hospital when she stopped breathing, so she was very worried but except for those couple of days, it wasn't that bad for her. everyone reacts differently but it's better than getting severely ill.
