I'm a fan of orange roses, and that shade of orange is perfect, so cheerful. I also adore the healthy leaves. In hot sun I prefer orange roses over Austin roses (fade badly in hot sun). Thank you for that amazing cheerful rose "Double Easy Orange". I checked in HMF and I'm happy that it's hardy to zone 5b. It's hard to find floribundas hardy for my zone 5 winter.

Ok, I take back what I said about the blooms being on the smaller size. It started out what seem to be a small bloom then it opened up big on day 2. The blooms are ~4 inches. What got my attention (other than the color) is that they seem to last pretty long. The bloom on the front right is on its 4th day and hasn't faded one bit. Jackson & Perkins does put that tidbit in its description about non fading blooms. We'll see how many more days it will stay looking nice like that. It's looking very promising so far.

It is an exquisite orange rose...one of the best (if not the best) orange rose I've ever seen!!! Glorious!!! :)

Sorry I'm spamming everyone with this rose, it's just so pretty I had to do a retake on it. The color just pop against the green background. Flowers don't fade at all, blooms lasted 4 days then petals dropped on the 5th day. This is the best orange rose I have ever owned so far.

Agree with Carol: Best orange rose that holds its color is hard to find. I love the above you-tubes on Double-Easy orange.

Hoang Ton I received this bareroot rose late in the season 2 weeks ago. I got it with 11 others, however, this is one of 2 that hasn't come out of dormancy so far.... hoping it comes to life.

Kristine, it performed beautifully, never without blooms, colors stay saturated, full foliage, very healthy so far. IMO this is a true beginners' rose.

The color is wonderful and just what I need for my orange garden.

rosecanadian, thank you, i like this so much that i'm waiting for a 3 feet standard version so i can make a rose hedge (replacing julia child hedge) since it exceeds julia child's performance (except on fragrance)

Thats funny that you should mention replacing Julia Child because that is exactly what my plan is.

I already dropped the hint to my husband that the 3rd Julia in the hedge row isnt doing too well and pethaps a tree rose would look good there.

Kristine, It does come in bush version also.

Diane, haha, yes, my standard is grafted. My Julia Child fades too fast in the summer for my liking, but it sure looks pretty in the cool spring.

Excellent performer. This would be a great hedge rose. It blooms like it's still in the Spring.

This rose is more beautiful than ever, and looks a lot larger, too. There is a lovely variety in bloom structure and petal shading that I haven't noticed so much before. Please tell us (again?) where you obtained this rose. Idaho doesn't allow several big sellers to send their roses here--frustrating, but the Dept of Ag really protects the farmers, and I'm not sure what their objection to these sellers is. The sellers don't say. Diane

Diane, i ordered this rose jackson and perkins.

Just located this thread so hope you can chime in. I planted and love "Easy Does it" in Dallas. I read it was a possible parent. Easy Does It performs wonderfully in Texas heat. Do you feel this would be better, worse, or same if you had to guess. Thanks BR (you take great pictures of that beautiful garden)

My Easy Does It is AMAZING in zone 7b and you just made me realize I haven't created a video to share! Double Easy Orange in the shrub form and standard is plagued with Black Spot and I am not sure I would recommend for anyone with humidity. Easy Does it has been a total knock out!!!! @Hoang Ton - Zone 9a do you have Easy Does it to compare?
