Hi.....Your house is lovely, with the variety of windows and roof angles, or maybe peaks is more appropriate. The one thing I think would make a big difference is a walkway from the front door to the curb. Large
stepping stones with grass in between, with low path lights. I would suggest a trellis over the garage windows
with blooming vines. The front door is over shadowed by the tallest peak and beautiful window beneath. my
suggestion to give it more interest would be a beautiful chandelier and the interior coved ceiling in hammered
copper sheeting. The face and the pillars painted to match the white trim around the windows, The tallest peak
that looks to be a light gray, remove the shutters and paint BM Shadow, leaving the white detail. The shutters
on the garage and other window should be painted Shadow, the trellis over the garage windows will make a big
difference in softening the tall roof line. I would suggest lots of color under the front window, and possibly
one or two Magnolia trees.

Put in the landscaping first and see how much more you love your home first. It's so pretty... I can just envision the landscaping already done. Ahh. :-)

I agree with the above. The house itself does not really need anything done - it's very attractive and has a lot of character without being overdone. The thing that might make it look bland is the featureless lawn sucking all the life out of it. A house with such charm needs some serious landscaping - maybe English country garden, slightly formal, lots of trees and shrubs all anchored by a hardscape echoing the materials of the house.

Since we are a shutter company, we will have to vote against removing the shutters completely. I know you're surprised at that reaction! Hee hee.

We would recommend replacing the old shutters with shutters that are properly sized for your windows. If you had a pair of shutters that fit the radius window in the center of your home properly, it would make a big difference. Since these shutters are black, I cannot tell if they are louvered or panel styles but since your home is so open to interpretation you could place any style of shutters on their. Even board and Batten shutters would go nicely but it all depends on your personal design preferences and your style!
