I do not have them but from the pictures that I saw online, yes, the blooms are visually very similar (although some pictures had lighter pinks than others and that can be confusing). However, Jane Abbot gets 5' high by 5' wide and is winter hardy to z4b while Northern Lights gets 7 feet high by 7 feet wide and is winter hardy to z3b. Leaf Fall foliage colors are different. See the comments in these two links. I would choose based on my zone and desired height.

Northern Lights is also part of series of deciduous azaleas bred especially for increased bud hardiness by the University of Minnesota so a full zone increase in cold tolerance (z3) and suitable for even very cold winter climates.
