That's really disconcerting that the seller will not reply after selling this product. I'm no expert on wet stick propagation so any opinion I have is not at all based on experience. However, I think you are probably alright as long as that side yellows and dries out and doesn't rot and spread rot. The center of the stick where the node is looks healthy and is putting out a new growth point or leaf. Is there a root on that node already?

You have probably already done so, but googling "wet stick propagation" for additional resources is an option.

Thank you for the advice! It has two large roots and a leaf on the way and is growing more every day. The yellow parts seem to have a sudden line separating the yellow from the green (doesn’t look like it’s spreading) so maybe it’s just the natural process. The seller did say she might not be available to contact because of vacation so hoping it’s just that and maybe I won’t even need help after all… fingers crossed. I will definitely update.
