More color in the garden

Two days of rain have hurt blooms and I have missed several FFO because of that. Wonder of it All was shredded as was my first Patsy Carpenter bloom and Billy the Kid. The older ones continue to be most of the early openers.

Happy Happy-not a particularly “older” one! Looks more yellow than usual.

Song Writer continues to make me smile with its vibrant color. Some rain and slug damage.

Bold One-reliable darker red-huge clump

I don’t know!!! Could not find the label-will have to check on this one!’

Evening Enchantment-a nice older purple

Mico-had to get low to get this pic-wind blew over the scapes

A true noid I have had for a long time-I like the green throat

Full of Magic-has never been “full” of the edging shown in many photos

That little mini-rose is a beauty! and the first rose is gorgeous. I am sorry the rain is ruining blooms but jealous that you are getting rain since we are dry and may be dry here the rest of the month. Watering helps, but it doesn't touch what rain does.

Happy Happy is kind of like Keep on Looking; quite pretty or Ho-hum. I like your red and Mico looks good. even if it is ground level instead of upper floor.

Song Writer is such a pretty color, and I like the color on the one you have to look up. I was looking at my notes from last year, several that bloomed early last year don't even have scapes yet. Looks like, at least to start off, they are going to be topsy, turvy. A couple of days ago I counted 47 plants with scapes, not even attempting today. I do have Little Rosy Cloud blooming, I thought it died off 2 or 3 years ago. I have not gotten a picture yet, it has been warm, but I guess it has forgotten how to bloom.

Nice group Kate. I too like daylilies with green throats. Hope the rain gives you a break although rain is always a good thing in moderation. Love the rose pics. I keep thinking to add some here but not sure just how bad the Japanese Beetles will be here. The big thing here right now is the cicadas. Not sure if we have seen any given we are unfamiliar with them.

Song Writer is my favorite of the daylilies.

I love the roses. Bob and I grew many roses before our children came along. We just couldn't keep up when them in that very busy time of our life. I especially like the little mini.

Kay, why am I not surprised you would like that screaming orange mini rose?!!

Sherry that rose is so stunning-it has perfect vase form and in full bloom has 20 different shades of colors on it!

Nancy, Song Writer has such saturated color. Mantis has another pink Stamile I love when he posts it. I can’t remember the name but it is so pretty and pink!

Julia, I may have to change my tune but no Japanese beetles here so far.

Nancy, I once had many more roses-as they died or succumbed to voles or diseases I did not replace-by that time my attention had turned to daylilies!

It's good to see so many daylily blooms! I think Happy Happy and your two NOIDs are my favorites. I do like your color-changing rose. I used to grow the Peace rose, and it had similar colors, but not as vibrant. I wish I had some of your rain. It's gotten very dry here in the past week.
