NOID yellow Hosta.

This guy is another that was under the giant oak that came up by the root ball.

I am going to search my photo library to see if it shows up, but I doubt it.

The white dots are the deer spray I sprayed yesterday.

This is a pic of the largest leaf, most are a bit smaller.

petioles are green,

Underside is kind of grey/green

full view, rhino hide in front.

Full disclosure, at one point I think this pot was 2 plants that were supposed to be minis, or very small. So i guess it’s possible I have some sort of Frankenstein Hosta and it’s not true anymore.

update, I was right. I found a pic from 2017(the year after the tree came down) and you can see this same planter with 2 different plants in it. I’m not educated enough on this to say, but either the yellow choked out the green or they hooked up lol.

Could it be August Moon?? Do you ever recall buying that hosta or has this one always been a mystery? I am trying to ID one myself. It’s so old, I don’t even remember where I got it. I don’t have a label or stick or way back, I didn’t keep them. Go figure!!

I do recall buying August Moon a long time ago. Buy I thought it had a more textured leaf. But being in this little pot may have caused it to mature differently?

I labeled absolutely everything with metal tags. My issue was a ginormous oak tree came down in a storm and a huge area around it came up with it. The hostas in that bed were all over the place and the tags were scattered or just gone. It was early spring so stuff was jus starting to emerge. So I probably only rescued about 25% of what was there. I wish I’d taken pics at the time. I was pulling plants out of the now vertical bed and tossing them in buckets lol.

Mark Zilis introduced a sport of Halcyon that I have, it looks a lot like your plant...mine is in deep shade and is very pale yellow right now. It's called English Sunrise. Mine have hardly grown because of the location (finally gonna move them), so I don't have a good pic...there are quite a few online.

On the Hosta Helper website, if you look up English Sunrise, they also give a list of look a likes.

I found my August Moon yesterday........could not remember where I moved it......duh!

Ooh, pretty. I need one of those. Mine was a small or miniature, otherwise I would have put it in a big tub. And everything that I salvaged from that bed would have been on the small side.
