Flooring Design Dilemma Living Room

We have bought new couches, these light grey ones, and will replace the black rocker next year. As you can see our living room is a small space for our family of 7. What color vinyl planks should we put in? We will be painting our walls and changing our picture frames also. Wall units and buffet are staying. Question #2 should we continue the same flooring in the kitchen? And also with the oak trim oak kitchen cupboards what would you do with all of it? Leave as is, paint, change??

It seems you have pretty small spaces so my advice is do the same flooring everywhere and probably a lighter shade and something that works with the cabinets

Same floor throughout. Keep cabinets and counters. Change backsplash and cabinet hardware

Get some samples for flooring and try them out in your light. This will help you pick a foot that works throughout your home.
