Dwarf crape myrtle (Berry Dazzle) in 3 gallon container--transplant?

I recently purchased a Berry Dazzle dwarf crape myrtle for my balcony garden. It's in a 3 gallon plastic container. It's growing very well. I wonder if I should transplant it to a 7 gallon fabric grow pot.

i thought the whole fabric pot thing was for your big move from nyc.. to where.. baltimore ...

i dont understand why you still insist on using them??

i dont see anything wrong with leaving it in the pot.. until it needs to be up potted ...

have you pulled it out of the pot to see what the roots look like ... are they seriously winding around the pot??? if so.. you have other issues to address rather than whether you can put it in a bag ...

Ken, I posted on the hosta forum that I have been looking for a house for a year now, and due to COVID affecting everything, there have been NO houses for sale in the area I want for months. So I must persevere with pots for the interim, imperfect as that may be. :(

I repotted the crape myrtle in a 7 gallon fabric pot. It is thriving , sending out new shoots with bronze leaves. Even before flowering, it is lovely.
